Spectra Engineering Solutions Partners with Aga Khan Planning and Building Service, Pakistan to Supervise Construction of Critical Bridge & Road in Gilgit-Baltistan
Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan — 02 July 2025 — Spectra Engineering Solutions (SES) is proud to announce its appointment as the construction supervision consultant for a vital new suspension bridge and rural road in Immit Valley, Ghizer district, Gilgit-Baltistan.
This flagship infrastructure project, commissioned by Aga Khan Planning and Building Service, Pakistan (AKPBS) — a globally respected development agency renowned for empowering mountain communities — will deliver safer, climate-resilient access for over 6,000 residents in one of Pakistan’s most isolated and climate-vulnerable regions.
The project includes:
-
A 210-meter suspension bridge to overcome dangerous river crossings.
-
3.5 km of rural road upgrades, keeping schools, markets, and healthcare within reach — year-round, despite landslides or floods.
“This is more than just infrastructure — it’s a bridge to opportunity and hope for families who have faced decades of isolation,” said Nasir Ayub, Managing Director, Spectra Engineering Solutions. “We are honoured to strengthen our trusted collaboration with AKPBS to deliver lasting, people-centred, climate-smart connectivity for Gilgit-Baltistan.”
SES will provide full-time site supervision, quality assurance, and environmental safeguards to ensure robust designs are translated into resilient, safe, and sustainable reality — in line with AKPBSP’s commitment to global best practices and local empowerment.
