Spectra Engineering Solutions Pvt Ltd (SES) is a leading innovative research and management consultancy firm in Pakistan providing professional services in the fields of civil and environmental engineering specializing in engineering survey & design, EPC, Consultation, Construction Supervision, capacity buildings, rural development, environmental planning and impact assessments for various infrastructure related projects like roads, railways, bridges, water supply schemes, water channels, street pavements etc.
 

Established in 2012, with head office in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and branch office in Islamabad, Capital Territory. SES is geared up in providing complete engineering solutions and complete end to end project management solutions. The company has more than 20 disciplines, including but not limited to highway and structural engineering, construction management, contract administration, quantity estimation, topographic surveys, geology and hydrology studies, environmental impact assessments, project scheduling, and providing support in other ancillary services.

SES has worked on numerous Infrastructure development projects with some International well reputed organization including Pakistan Railways, World Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and local government authorities like Communication and Works department (C&W) and Khyber Pakthunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA), KP.

SES gamut of engineers from various disciplines can handle the entire scope of engineering & project management services from the conceptual phase, through to feasibility, design, construction supervision and post-construction phases of the project.

We have so far designed and completed construction supervision of “643” Nos. bridges and 5,000 kilometres stretch of roads/pavements in urban and in most troubled regions of Pakistan. Various agencies have ranked us as top engineering design consultants.

Work and Achievements

Spectra Engineering Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. has delivered engineering design, construction supervision, structural assessment, seismic evaluation, damage assessment, third-party monitoring, quality assurance, rehabilitation planning and infrastructure advisory assignments for UN agencies, donor-funded programmes, government institutions and development partners across Pakistan.

With experience across UN facilities, schools, health facilities, WASH infrastructure, roads, bridges, railways, rural infrastructure and public buildings, Spectra has supported large-scale development and infrastructure programmes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, merged districts, Balochistan, Punjab, Sindh, AJK and other regions of Pakistan.

A few examples include:

  • Long-Term Agreement for Damage Assessment, Supervision and Spot Checks of Schools and Medium-Scale Rural Infrastructure Projects – UNDP Pakistan, 2024–ongoing. The assignment includes structural damage assessment, supervision, spot checks, quantity verification, compliance monitoring and reporting for schools and infrastructure schemes across Pakistan.
  • Seismic Assessment of WFP Buildings and Recommendation of Suitable Rehabilitation Measures across Pakistan – World Food Programme, 2026. The assignment includes seismic assessment, structural evaluation and retrofit planning for WFP facilities in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad, supporting building safety, operational continuity and disaster-risk preparedness.
  • Assessment, rehabilitation and renovation planning for the ILO Office Building, G-5 Islamabad International Labour Organization. Spectra supported building condition review, rapid visual screening, structural and architectural assessment, rehabilitation planning, BOQ support and recommendations for improvement works for the ILO office facility in Islamabad.
  • UNDP Damage Assessment, Supervision and Spot Checks under the FATA Recovery Programme – UNDP Pakistan, 2016–2019. Spectra successfully completed assessment, supervision and spot checks for 397 infrastructure schemes, including 100 infrastructure schemes in South Waziristan Agency and 297 schools, comprising 131 C&W schools and 166 USAID-supported schools. The assignment was completed on time with no liquidated damages.
  • Engineering Design and Supervision Services under Long-Term Agreement for WFP Pakistan – World Food Programme, 2026. The assignment covers engineering design, site supervision, technical reviews and related support services for WFP facilities and infrastructure works across Pakistan.
  • Consultancy Services as Third Party Monitoring Agent for the KP, FATA and Balochistan Multi Donor Trust Fund Portfolio – World Bank / MDTF, 2012–2016. Spectra supported third-party monitoring, field verification, quality assurance and reporting for 330+ community infrastructure schemes, including rural roads, irrigation channels, water supply schemes, urban infrastructure and community physical infrastructure.
  • Design and Supervision for Construction of Slaughterhouse / Butchery Facility in District Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – United Nations Industrial Development Organization, 2022–2023. Spectra provided design support, construction supervision, site coordination, quality control and completion reporting for UNIDO-supported facility works.
  • IRC/PATRIP-supported assignments- Design review, BOQ preparation, technical assessment and supervision support for health facility improvement works in Balochistan under including site inspections, rehabilitation needs assessment and quality assurance reporting.
  • Monitoring of Solarization Works for UNICEF Offices – UNICEF Pakistan. Spectra carried out site monitoring, verification of solarization works, quality checks and reporting to support improved energy reliability and sustainability of UNICEF facilities.
  • Feasibility Study for Up-gradation of the Existing Railway Line – from Rohri to Koh-i-Taftan via Quetta, including Realignment of the Sibi–Spezand Section — 1,022 km – Pakistan Railways, 2018–2020.
  • Feasibility Study for Rail Link from Quetta to Kotla Jam — 538 km, including Updating of Existing Feasibility Study – Pakistan Railways, 2018–2020.
  • Feasibility design, detailed engineering estimates and construction supervision for roads extending over 5,000 km and more than 793 bridges across Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the merged districts. This experience includes rural roads, access infrastructure, bridges, culverts, drainage works and climate-resilient transport connectivity.
  • Rapid Visual Screening and Structural Assessment of 1,267 schools under a DFID-funded programme, covering schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The assignment supported safer school infrastructure, structural risk screening, rehabilitation planning and prioritization of repair needs.
